What kind of company is Komaki?
Tell us about the work atmosphere and your team.

We are a friendly company where everyone works and talks a lot.
I think the corporate culture is one where it’s easy to express your opinions and ideas regardless of your position or age.

Why did you choose Komaki?

Food is something that everyone is familiar with and is always in demand, so I wanted to contribute to society by working in the food industry. I was also interested in the fact that the majority of our customers are from foreign countries.

What did you find enjoyable about your job?

As I delivered, I was able to set up more efficient routes in areas that I was not familiar with, enabling me to deliver more quickly. I was also very happy when I taught a customer who didn’t understand Japanese very well how to use and place an order on the app, and was delighted when the customer thanked me for my help.

How do you spend your days off and how do you relax?
I routinely check out new stores during deliveries. On my days off, I often go to restaurants that caught my attention at the time. I also like to watch sports games while drinking.
What is the most important thing you are committed to in doing your job?
I am keenly aware of the need for both speed and accuracy in delivery.
Also, since many of our customers are from foreign countries, I try to keep a friendly smile on my face during delivery.
Finally, tell us what you think is the main strength of Komaki.
Strength: We’ve built a relationship of trust with our existing customers, who refer us to other companies.

Tell us about the work atmosphere and your team.

We are a company that values independence. There is an atmosphere of openness in the workplace, where age or seniority are not an issue.

Why did you choose Komaki?

I had worked in restaurants previously and was looking for a new job where I could continue to be involved with food.
I chose this job because I was interested in working on the support side of the restaurant industry.

What did you find enjoyable about your job?

Since the majority of our clients are foreign nationals from India and other South Asian countries, I have many opportunities to come into contact with different cultures that I had never known before, which is both surprising and fun.
I am also faced with language barriers every day, but I try my best to understand the needs of our customers and respond to them in a friendly manner. I am very happy and feel a sense of accomplishment when I see the results of my efforts.

How do you spend your days off and how do you relax?
On my days off, I spend time with my family, going out and having dinner.
Another way to relax is to watch horse racing, which is a hobby of mine.
What is the most important thing you are committed to in doing your job?
It’s all about doing whatever you can do yourself, as well as thinking about how you can realize your customer’s needs and making it happen.
Finally, tell us what you think is a strength and a weakness of Komaki.
Strength: Many of our customers have been with us for a long time, and we have built a relationship of trust with them. I feel that this relationship of trust has helped us connect with new customers. I would like to further deepen this relationship of trust in the future.
Weakness: I have a slight language barrier when communicating with customers. But I believe that by proactively visiting and communicating with our customers, I’m better able to solve their problems.
